I established Blackwell Consultancy Limited in 2009 following 23 years of experience and acquired knowledge in all facets of HR including; Learning and Development, Health and Safety, Internal Communications and Generalist HR across a number of industries, mainly in the B2B sector, holding the position of European HR Director for an American Fortune 500 business for 5 years. Prior to entering HR, I was an Army Officer serving for 8 years, my last 3 years as an Arctic Training Officer.
Since 2009, I have been working across both Private and Public sector businesses with Directors and Senior Managers, working with them to resolve their HR issues.
I have a proven ability to adapt to any business type, size and sector, and my engaging and involving approach enables me to interact successfully with all levels within an organisation.
Some Consultants have a reputation for a reluctance to take responsibility for the detail and delivery. I however, thrive on working at an HR operational level and resolving issues whilst retaining the ability and experience to move into a strategic debate and facilitate and contribute as appropriate.
Outside of work I enjoy most sports and maintaining a respectable level of fitness. I enjoy just about all outdoor activities and challenges as varied as kayaking, motorbike touring, skiing to the North Pole and trekking to Everest Base Camp!
